23 Jan Delight in Becoming Child Like
“Life is tough. It takes up much of your time, all your weekends, and what do you get in the end of it? I think that the life cycle is all backward. You should die first, get that out of the way. Then live twenty years in an old-age home. You get kicked out when you’re too young. You get a gold watch, you go to work. You work forty years until you’re young enough to enjoy your retirement. You go to college, you party until you’re ready for high school; you go to grade school; you become a little kid; you play. You have no responsibilities. You become a little baby; you go back into the womb; you spend your last nine months floating; and you finish up as a gleam in somebody’s eye.” – Anonymous
I find that my childlike curiosity, wonder, and playfulness are harder to maintain the older I get. I may struggle to maintain these qualities innately, but with age comes wisdom and discipline. Wisdom and discipline provide me with the insight and strength to be more intentional with my actions. Christ himself encouraged childlike behavior. Schedule time for play!

Posted at 20:36h, 27 FebruaryHi Lynn,Since my Sudden Cardiac Arrest on September 7th, I am really enynoijg your health tips. I actually got kicked out of Cardiac Rehab today because my blood pressure is too low. I think all the good eating habits and exercise are reducing my need for blood pressure medication. Thanks,Sharon
